A black AI researcher can’t assemble an AI any not quite the same as a white AI researcher. That makes these policy recommendations racist themselves. It despite everything bodes well to build diversity among AI researchers for other reasons, yet it unquestionably won’t help to make the AI system less racist. Racism in an AI should be addressed simply like any other sort of engineering issue.
